I had a post on here where I stated that Mr. Dawkins had added “fool” to his list of accolades due to his lack of belief in God.
I realized today the profound message of Christ in loving your neighbor includes even an enemy [though I don't consider Dawkins an enemy per se].
However, in the message of love that Christ brought, there is no room to accuse a neighbor of anything that stems from a lack of love.
Call it what you will, but Christ’s message of love is unconditional I think. I am unfit to judge someone who I disagree with and to accuse them of anything. Having done so, I realize that I stepped out of a message of real love and tried to justify my accusation.
I know that may sound crazy or extreme, but if Dawkins is my “neighbor” then it was a very unloving thing to do and extremely short-sighted.
So, my sincere apologies to Mr. Richard Dawkins.
In Christ,
Chris

I recently asked a question on two “theology” lists that I belong to about Isaiah’s use of the words “Israel” and “Jacob” in the book of Isaiah.
I understand the difference between Israel and Judah, the divided kingdom, but there was something missing in my reading of Isaiah. Why would the writer of Isaiah purposefully mention Jacob by both his names instead of by one proper name?
Either the Holy Spirit was poking me (in a sense) or my own background in reading was picking up on something.

Sometimes I wonder off the path of just enjoying God’s grace. The beauty of His creation and the joy of my salvation. Often I dig into deep dive theological discussions (debates?) that end up only robbing me of the simple pleasure of knowing God. I forget to listen to the world around me and pick up on the laughter, the giggles, the innocence, the simple things that can be found if you listen for them.

In a recent blog conversation someone made the following comment to me:
The belief in the Christian god tells oneself that being meek, weak, and abused in this world out of weakness will be rewarded in your afterlife.
So being meek, weak, and abused in this world out of weakness will be rewarded in my afterlife?
He associates being meek with being weak and abused out of weakness. Should Christians be weak? Does meek mean weak as we understand it today? Does humble mean weak?
I want to hear from you.
My questions to you reading this:
IS THIS THE PERCEPTION OF CHRISTIANITY, (CHRIST) ONE OF WEAKNESS AND ABUSED PEOPLE?
SHOULD IT BE IF IT IS (OR IS NOT)?
